Orange goggles

My kids like to wear goggles while in the tub (mostly Eadie and Orin). A little weird maybe, but that's okay. It makes them happy!

The first time I put them on Alton he seemed amazed that everything had changed color. It was funny to watch.

32 years ago today.

Today is my birthday. I laughed more today than I have in a long time. I got to spend the day with people that I love and I got some really cool presents, especially the one from my Mom. (Thanks Mom!) It was a fun day that I'm sure I'll remember for a long time!

The circus

We went to the circus last night and had a good time. It was fun to watch the kids and their reactions to things. At one point in the show some girls came out wearing skin colored costumes that covered their whole bodies except their hands, feet and heads. They were riding on a kind of moving platform. When Orin saw them he said "Those girls are naked riding on that truck." It was really funny. The show wasn't quite as good as it was last year but it was still lots of fun.

Baby goes bonk

Alty had a little accident yesterday. The boys were upstairs playing when all of a sudden I hear a loud thump followed by screaming. I ran upstairs and found Alton lying under a small chair they have in their room. I picked him up and he had blood running down his face from his lip. I stopped the bleeding and examined how bad it was. Not too bad. Then his nose starts to bleed. I get that stopped and think, okay he's alright, no big deal. Then I brushed his hair from off of his forehead and he has a huge goose egg that is turning more purple by the minute. I called our pediatrician who reassured me that he should be okay. His lip looks worse today then it did yesterday but his head looks a little better. I think the boys have already had more accidents than the girls and they are much, much younger. Just shows you the difference in the sexes doesn't it!

Have we met before?

It didn't take Alton long to warm up to Ash, even though she's been gone for six months. He was soon feeding her chocolate off of the spatula I had given him.

Peanut butter spatula.

I made some peanut butter cookies and gave Alton the spatula. It's the first time I've given him a kitchen utensil from a treat I've made. He really liked it. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship!

Accidents will happen

Eadie went to play at her friend Isabella's house. When I called Isabella's Mom to let her know I was coming to pick up Eadie she said "You're not going to believe what happened. Eadie kind of had an accident and knocked out her two front teeth." I was shocked. They weren't even loose at all. It bled a lot but she was a real trooper (According to Isabella's Mom).

A.N.S.

Our Ashey is going to be home in less than a week and
we couldn't be more excited about it.

We're so glad you're FINALLY coming back home!

The gymnast.

Eadie was showing us how she could do a hand stand. She would stand at the edge of the rug, put her hands up and then do her trick. After watching this a few times Alton started to imitate her. It was really cute.

First he would stand at the edge of the rug with his hands up.

Then he would fall to the floor and kind of roll around.

Then he would clap.

Kids keep you so entertained. They're great!

Sucker banning!

So, I went to the bank with the boys today. Alton saw the suckers sitting on the counter and wanted one, so I opened one and handed it to him. I knew it was only a short drive home so I wasn't too worried about it. While driving I looked back at him and he was intentionally putting it in his hair. He would put it in and then pull it out. He just kept doing it. I think he will be banned from suckers until his hair is cut.
