Finally......an answer!
After spending the last year in almost constant pain I was finally diagnosed with pelvic venous congestion syndrome. I had a venogram on Tuesday which is an X-ray test that takes pictures of the blood flow through the veins in a certain area of your body (in my case my pelvic area). A special dye is put into your veins so they can be seen clearly on an X-ray picture. Needless to say that area of your body is not somewhere that you want a long needle with dye injected into your veins. This is actually the second one I have had and they are very painful. I have severe varicose veins in my uterus and my right ovary. When the doctor showed Justin and I what size the veins were supposed to be I was blown away. They were about ten times the size they should be. So he gave me three treatment options:
1) Progesterone therapy.
2) Taking medication to put me into early menopause.
3) A hysterectomy.
I decided that I would try the progesterone first and see how that goes. If it doesn't work then I will try early menopause and as a LAST resort a hysterectomy. I'm so glad to finally have some answers and to know that an end may actually be in sight.

First day of school.
The girls had their first day of school on Monday. Teya has been counting down the days. She couldn't wait. I think some of her excitement rubbed off on Eadie and they were both looking forward to school.
Teya didn't even want me to walk her into the school. She said she was fine. They grow up so fast. I can remember her first day of kindergarten. I cried all the way home after leaving her.
Eadie is in the afternoon kindergarten. For the first day the parents go with their child and spend an hour there. First we went on a tour of the school and then Eadie found her pencil box and a seat. Next she drew a picture of herself and then the teacher read a story and sang some songs and talked about some of the rules of kindergarten. I really wish I would have taken my camera with me. She looked so cute sitting in her little chair at her little table. They do kindergarten testing the rest of the week so her first official day will be Tuesday. She sits across from her friend Isabella which she was excited about. Teya's classroom is only about three doors down from Eadie's and they share the same recess. So I'm glad to know that she has someone to look out for her.

The nose knows.....too much pain.
I have only experienced one pain worse than my surgery and that was Alton's birth. (I wanted an epidural and planned on having one but the anesthesiologist was busy in an emergency c-section and couldn't come, and for what ever reason there was no one else to do it. So I went through the six hours of labor and finally got the epidural right before I started pushing. So he was born before it had really started working. Anyone who wants natural childbirth is INSANE!)
The whole thing started by getting several shots in my nose, which were very unpleasant since my nose was still tender from the first surgery. Once my nose was cut open they took out pieces of cartilage and tissue and then started to rasp the bone. It was an awful sound and feeling. The surgery kept going and going and the numbness was wearing off and I started to think I would die from the pain. Justin was able to be in the room the whole time and could tell I was in extreme pain. He asked if they would numb it more, but they really were almost done by then so it was pretty pointless. He said it was really weird to watch them putting all these instruments in and out of my nose. I was so glad when they finally stitched it up. I went home and took lots of drugs!
Hopefully this will be the end of all this nose business.

Snoop D-O-double G.
I found out a few days ago that my FAVORITE rapper/music artist/actor/celebrity/ whatever else you want to call him, has his own reality show. I was so stoked when I found out. I came home and did research to find out about it and when I could get it on DVD. In the mean time I've been watching it on you tube. Check out the intro. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_UWZNuteHU

Change of plans
Today I went in to see my plastic surgeon to make the final plans for my surgery next Monday. Well, as it turns out I will actually be having surgery tomorrow instead. He had some time in the morning and wanted to do it then. So I feel a little ill prepared since I was expecting another week to get things ready. I've spent the day accomplishing the things I needed to do over the next week to be ready for this...and of course, I had to update all my loyal blog fans!
