The nose knows.....too much pain.

I have only experienced one pain worse than my surgery and that was Alton's birth. (I wanted an epidural and planned on having one but the anesthesiologist was busy in an emergency c-section and couldn't come, and for what ever reason there was no one else to do it. So I went through the six hours of labor and finally got the epidural right before I started pushing. So he was born before it had really started working. Anyone who wants natural childbirth is INSANE!)

The whole thing started by getting several shots in my nose, which were very unpleasant since my nose was still tender from the first surgery. Once my nose was cut open they took out pieces of cartilage and tissue and then started to rasp the bone. It was an awful sound and feeling. The surgery kept going and going and the numbness was wearing off and I started to think I would die from the pain. Justin was able to be in the room the whole time and could tell I was in extreme pain. He asked if they would numb it more, but they really were almost done by then so it was pretty pointless. He said it was really weird to watch them putting all these instruments in and out of my nose. I was so glad when they finally stitched it up. I went home and took lots of drugs!

Hopefully this will be the end of all this nose business.
