Would you like a ride on my gurney?

Well, it's all over with...

Alton had his surgery today and it went well. The fluid in his left ear was clear but the right ear had puss in it. They drained it all out and he is on antibiotic drops to clear up the infection. The scope went well too. The flap over his larynx is still immature and not rigid but the doctor thinks it will take care of itself. He looked at his voice box and it looks good. So the laryngomalacia should go away by itself. Which I'm very glad to hear.

He was so cute when he was getting ready to go into surgery. The nurse thought he was adorable. He looked really cute in his little hospital gown so I had to take pictures (the quality isn't that good since it's from my phone.) When they wheeled him away he was sitting up on the gurney and it looked so funny because he was so tiny on that big bed. After the surgery was over they came to get us and we could hear him crying as soon as we got back into the recovery area. He cried and cried and we couldn't get him to calm down. We tried almost everything and nothing was working. Then I finally got him to calm down by walking around with him. Once he stopped crying and calmed down they let us go home. He has been really good and things have mostly been normal since we've been home, except for some bleeding from his ear. I'm glad it's over with.

Now onto our next adventure which I will be revealing shortly. Stay tuned.......
